General Hospital Spoilers: Gladys’ Exit Story Underway – GH’s Cruelest Character Must Go?
According to General Hospital (GH) spoilers, Gladys Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) has recently developed into the show’s cruelest character. Even for a selfish, evil person like Gladys, intentionally giving Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) further mental health problems is a new low!
Gladys says she cares about Sasha, but her actions contradict that claim.
If Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) were still alive and saw what Gladys has been doing with Dr. Damon Montague (Darin Toonder), he would be ashamed of his mother.
Naturally, Dr. Montague is terrible for providing a medication that could cause an innocent patient to go astray.
As Sasha’s legal guardian, Gladys is essentially the person Sasha is meant to trust the most in this world, thus we’d argue that she’s even worse.
It was bad enough when Gladys started using Sasha’s assets and dipping into her daughter-in-law’s funds to cover her own gambling debts.
The fact that Gladys is now actively trying to derail Sasha’s mental state has seemingly taken her character past the point of no return.
It was both heartbreaking and infuriating to watch Gladys ask Sasha if she was keeping up with her meds in the July 19 episode.
Gladys knew exactly what she was doing when she pushed Sasha to pop a pill right before a major interview to get her side of the story out there.
It’s Gladys’ fault that Sasha even shoplifted in the first place, but then she tried to ruin Sasha’s damage control!
Things went from bad to worse when Sasha hallucinated Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and wounded Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) in her confusion.
Sasha may need to spend some time in a mental health facility recovering due to Mattsson’s real-life maternity leave.
Getting Sasha away from sick and twisted Gladys is surely the best thing for her.
Naturally, we have to wonder how Gladys can possibly come back from all this.
It feels like Gladys’ exit story may be underway – and that exit can’t come fast enough as far as many GH fans are concerned.
The show’s created a situation where Gladys needs a major downfall, so we can only hope she’ll get run out of town, land in jail or even face a grim fate.
As long as Gladys finally leaves Sasha alone, it is difficult to care what happens to her.
