In fact, she did have may close calls. However, ultimately, thanks to her successful bone marrow transplant, she successfully beat cancer. Although she had to stay in the hospital for excruciatingly long six weeks, before she could finally get the get go to return home to her life and family.
Her release from the hospital was accompanied by a lengthy list of recommendations and safety measures regarding General Hospital, nonetheless. Which made perfect sense given that she had just recovered from cancer and undergone a transplant. which, due to a compromised immune system, puts a transplant patient susceptible to infections of many kinds. Stress and Exposure Causes Willow To Fall Severely Ill On General Hospital
Recently, on General Hospital, Willow’s latest round of tests came up with some good results. The numbers were favorable enough for Dr. Randolph to give her the green signal to return to work. Which of course delighted Willow. She had desperately been waiting to get the clearance so she could get back to her old life, and make as much of it as possible! But we wonder if this is just the beginning of a much worse fate than the one she suffered previously!
It might not be as simple and advantageous for her to return to work at the hospital as Willow believes. A nurse has a lot of responsibilities, works long hours, and experiences stress. And, to be quite honest, Willow’s system might not be able to manage that. She might still have a highly weakened immune system as a result of her transplant, making her more susceptible to catching various illnesses at the hospital. Therefore, even if Willow does not experience a relapse, she could still become seriously ill from a separate illness that she contracts from one of her patients.
