Farmer Wants A Wife

Inside Farmer Wants A Wife Couple Andrew Guthrie And Jess Nathan’s Secret Vineyard Wedding

Farmer Wants A Wife couple Andrew Guthrie and Jess Nathan secretly tied the knot last month, three years after meeting on the Channel Seven reality show.

And the couple have finally lifted the lid on their nuptials, and how a gust of wind almost destroyed their perfect day.

Speaking to Woman’s Day magazine, the lovebirds said they are still on ‘cloud nine’ after marrying on March 16 at the picturesque Mimosa Wines vineyard, on the NSW South Coast.

The pair, both 30, tied the knot in front of 145 guest and exchanged vows on a pier that overlooked a secluded lily pond.

Jess looked ethereal in a beaded A-line gown by Melbourne designer Jane Hill, which featured long sheer sleeves and a thigh split.

She also wore a six-metre veil and clutched a bouquet of blue and white flowers while walking down the aisle, which was also decorated with long-stemmed white roses.

‘It was the dress of my dreams,’ Jess gushed.

The theme of the wedding was ‘formal country garden party’, with guests treated to a three-course menu and canapés.

Eschewing tradition, the couple chose not to have a wedding cake and instead focused on the delicious spread, which included Peking duck, lamb koftas, spicy margaritas and limoncello spritz.

Jess’ five bridesmaids wore blue silk slip dresses, while Andrew’s groomsmen looked slick in black tuxedos with bow ties and white pocket squares.

The couple’s perfect day did hit a snag however, after a gust of wind almost fell into the lake during the ceremony.

‘[My veil] wasn’t coping when a breeze picked up during my vows and was basically wrapping around Andrew and my bridesmaids,’ Jess explained.

One of her bridesmaids tried to help by grabbing the veil and pulling it back, but instead almost fell back into the water.

‘In the end, I just stepped to the side and took my veil off,’ Jess mused.

Elsewhere, the pair confirmed that babies are on the horizon and that they will start thinking about trying for their first child in a few months.

Andrew and Jess announced their engagement in August by sharing several photos of Andrew’s proposal to Instagram.

The couple, who had been enjoying a picnic and Champagne, looked smitten as Jess buried her face in her hands in shock before trying on her ring.

In the caption alongside the images, Andrew paid tribute to the show, writing, ‘Farmer Wants A Wife’ and adding ring and heart emojis.

The engagement came less than a month after the pair announced that they had purchased a home together.
