Big Brother US: 7 Showmances-Turned-Marriages (These Duos Are Staying Together)

Big Brother 25 has introduced new showmances into the mix, joining the ranks of some of the most successful couples the show has ever seen. While Big Brother has always been a social experiment first, romances that blossom on the show tend to be somewhat more successful in the long term than some reality TV dating series. With the BB houseguests getting to know each other in a pressure cooker, couples see the best and worst in each other as they move through the game, making facing life outside the house a completely different experience. While not every showmance makes it, many have gotten married after meeting on Big Brother.

Showmances are nearly as old as the game of Big Brother, with the first showmances popping up all the way back on Big Brother 2. While things typically didn’t get serious in the BB house for most couples, things started to change in the late 2000s and early 2010s when several showmances met in the house and started serious relationships once they were back in their regular lives. In recent years, several have taken the leap and gotten married once outside the Big Brother house, including some of the most famous BB showmances in the show’s history.

BB 8/BB 13’s Daniele Donato & BB 13’s Dominic Briones

Daniele Donato was originally a houseguest on Big Brother 8, where she competed alongside her estranged father Dick Donato. The father/daughter duo made it to the final 2, with Daniele taking second place against her controversial father, and were set to compete again on Big Brother 13 just a few years later. After Dick dropped out of the competition due to a personal emergency, Daniele regrouped and quickly noticed Dominic Briones. The pair were flirty during their time on the series, but Dominic was evicted during week 3. When they met back up after the season, Daniele and Dominic quickly fell into a relationship, getting married in 2013.

BB 11/BB 13’s Jordan Lloyd & Jeff Schroeder

Big Brother 11 provided one of the most interesting seasons of the series, as well as one of its most memorable showmances. Split into cliques for the first twist of the season, Jordan Lloyd and Jeff Schroeder were on different teams in the house but connected quickly regardless. The couple kept things relatively PG during their time in the BB house, getting to know each other and flirting until Jeff’s eviction in week 8. Jordan ultimately won Big Brother 11, and the couple returned to play again on Big Brother 13 as a duo. They got engaged in the Big Brother house in 2014 and were married in 2016.

BB 12/BB 13’s Rachel Reilly & Brendon Villegas

Though many know about showmances because of Jeff and Jordan, the most pivotal showmance in Big Brother history is likely BB 12’s Rachel Reilly and Brendon Villegas. The couple quickly found themselves in a showmance at the beginning of their season together, bonding over their attraction and the fact that they were both budding scientists. A huge threat in the BB house, Rachel proved herself to be a competitive threat and ultimately got evicted week 5, making her the season’s first jury member. Brendon was eventually evicted as well during week 7, but the couple returned on Big Brother 13, where Rachel won. Brendon and Rachel were married in 2012.

BB 16/BB 18/BB 22’s Nicole Franzel & BB 18’s Victor Arroyo

After competing for her first season on Big Brother 16 and coming in seventh place, Nicole Franzel came back with a vengeance for Big Brother 18 in hopes that she would be able to take the crown. During BB 18, Nicole got into a showmance with Corey Brooks, but met Victor Arroyo and bonded with him throughout their time in the house. Both admitted to some attraction after the season, and when things ended with Corey, Nicole and Victor took a chance on each other. The pair were married in 2021, after Nicole’s appearance on Big Brother 22, and welcomed their first son in 2022.

As two of the major villains on Big Brother 19, Jessica Graf and Cody Nickson both entered the BB house looking to take on the competition. The pair were attracted to each other quickly, forging a bond within their first weeks in the game and pairing up with several other duos to form an alliance. Both were controversial players who were able to win competitions but ultimately were evicted back to back in weeks 6 and 7. After BB 19, Jessica and Cody competed on The Amazing Race season 30, winning the season, and were married in 2018. The couple have 3 daughters.

BB 20’s Bayleigh Dayton & Christopher “Swaggy C” Williams

Although Big Brother 20’s Christopher “Swaggy C” Williams was evicted in week 2, his bond with his fellow houseguest Bayleigh Dayton was quick to form. Bayleigh and Swaggy C clicked almost instantly in the BB house. After Swaggy C’s eviction, Bayleigh’s attachment to him in the house continued and the pair were popular among fans throughout the season. Swaggy C proposed to Bayleigh on stage at the Big Brother 20 finale, and the couple secretly married in 2019. They have a daughter, Alora, and are expecting a second child in 2023.

BB 10/BB 22’s Memphis Garrett & BB 19 /BB 22’s Christmas Abbott

As one of the finalists on Big Brother 10, Memphis Garrett has been a memorable figure in the Big Brother community since his time on the show with BB legend Dan Gheesling. Christmas Abbott, who originally appeared on Big Brother 19, was best known for her consummate gameplay despite breaking her foot early in the BB season. Both were invited to Big Brother 22, a second iteration of Big Brother: All-Stars, and clicked once they were in the house. Christmas and Memphis confirmed their relationship once the game ended, and were married in 2022.

Will BB 25’s America Lopez & Cory Wurtenberger Join The Club?

Although they’re far from ready for marriage, Big Brother 25’s Cory Wurtenberger and America Lopez have been one of the biggest showmances of BB 25. Falling in love in the BB house, Cory and America have captivated the audience, especially when it comes to the BB live feeds, with how open and honest they’ve been with one another about the game and their relationship in general. Though both have been evicted from the Big Brother house, it’s possible this sweet showmance could become the next to join the club of married BB showmances.
