Blue Bloods’ Donnie Wahlberg Admits He ‘Can’t Wait’ As He Shares Huge Career Announcement

Donnie Wahlberg took to Instagram to share some exciting news and pay tribute to the crew behind the true-crime series, Very Scary People.

While he’s a household name to Blue Bloods viewers and New Kids on the Block listeners, Donnie’s on-screen projects venture far and wide. And now, the CBS drama star revealed he’d be back for another season of the reality series Very Scary People – and he had some sweet words for his colleagues.

Very Scary People takes a deep dive into the twisted and abhorrent lives of some of history’s most notorious criminals.

Donnie serves as host of the show and episodes in seasons gone by have included examinations into the lives of killers like John Wayne Gacy, Charles Manson and David Berkowitz.

Four seasons in and Very Scary People had proven itself to be one of HLN’s most popular shows – and Donnie confirmed season five is on its way on Discovery+’s Investigation Discovery.

Sharing the exciting announcement on Instagram, Donnie posed alongside his cast and crew members to confirm the news.

“Nothing scary about this crew,” Donnie captioned the snap alongside a number of his colleagues. “Team VSP!”

He added to his 1.7 million followers: “Can’t wait for season 5!”

Donnie then tagged the Investigation Discovery account as well as added the hashtag: “#Veryscarypeople.”

The Blue Bloods star stopped short of delving into which criminals the new season would be looking at, however.

He did previously spark excitement about the new series with a short clip of him on the set of Very Scary People over the weekend.

“Another day at the office — even on Saturdays,” Donnie captioned the clip.

And this time he went one step further by confirming when exactly fans can watch the new episodes.

He continued: “Season 5 of #VeryScaryPeople coming April 16 to @investigationdiscovery! Let’s go! #VSP.”

Needless to say, a number of Donnie’s followers were left buzzing by the news and took to the comments to applaud the news and the actor’s work ethic.

Instagram user @joseph_raymond_lucero commented: “MY GUY STAY GRINDING!! #CHANGEISPOSSIBLE.”

While @kellyfaye415 weighed in: “When you do what you love, it’s not even work! Can’t wait to see the next season!”

Elsewhere, @tnormandeau22 added: “This reel was so visually pleasing to my eyeballs. Can’t wait for #VSP!”

And another of his followers, @jks_rightstuff, remarked: “Obsessed with this show!!”

Donnie was praised further by @one_of_the_nice_karens who said: “If it wasn’t for that huge freaking heart of yours I would swear you were a robot.

“I don’t know how you do it. Hardest ‘heartest’ working man in the business.”
