General Hospital Recap Highlights
Also in this episode, Cyrus and Sonny faced off, Anna gave Valentin a reality check, Drew had a warning for Carly, Finn was worried about his future, Curtis had a big ask for Jordan, and Sasha came to Cody’s rescue. Now, let’s dig a little deeper into the details.
Charlotte Swears
Nina (Cynthia Watros) visited Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez) at the hospital and gave her riding gloves. Charlotte appreciated that Nina liked her for her, which had Nina wondering if that was a swipe at Anna.
Nina asked why she didn’t tell anyone about Victor’s warning and what she did to make Anna want to leave Port Charles. Charlotte said she only scared her. She didn’t want to hurt her. She admitted to reading the article and then spray-painting murderer on Anna’s door. She said after the fire, she went to her hotel room and wrote on the bathroom mirror. She was going to do it again on Halloween, but instead, Anna shot her. Nina pushed to know if Charlotte did anything else. She swore she did not set fire to Anna’s house.
Anna (Finola Hughes) met up with Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), who told her why Charlotte was targeting her. He handed over Victor’s letter. She was aghast at what he wrote and asked if his daughter admitted to everything. He said she needed therapy, and Anna said she needed deprogramming. He asked her to have faith, and eventually, the three of them would move forward, but Anna didn’t see how. She said it happened because he couldn’t trust her, and that was because he can’t be trusted. Valentin said he feared she didn’t love him the way he loved her. Anna said Charlotte would never get over this trauma, and Anna feared every time she saw him, she’d be forced to relive it. She said she needed to see him as little as possible to have any peace.
Going On Offense
Sonny (Maurice Benard) found Cyrus (Jeff Kober) at his place of work, scrubbing the floor. “How the mighty have fallen,” he told Cyrus. Sonny was there to talk. He said if he got a hint that Cyrus was up to his old tricks, he’d shut him down permanently. Cyrus claimed he was starting fresh. Sonny explained why he didn’t buy it, talking about Austin and Mason. Sonny crowed about how he set a trap via Betty, and Cyrus walked right into it. Cyrus tried to deflect, but Sonny also threatened his “poor” health if he ever crossed him. He told him who was under his protection but then also said to stop seeing Laura uninvited.
Drew (Cameron Mathison) paid Carly (Laura Wright) a visit outside Kelly’s and caught her people-watching. Inside, Carly told him she turned down Nina’s offer to buy back her half of the hotel. She told him it was hard to see Nina living the life she used to live. But she realized she had so many blessings. He told her to keep her guard up. She asked why, and he said Ned — he pushed him one step too far. He updated her on Ned’s return and that he believed Ned was the one who turned them in.
Curtis (Donnell Turner) welcomed Jordan (Tanisha Harper) over, and she wanted to know what was up. He said she was the only one who could understand what he discovered — meditation. She said TJ talked it up, too. He talked about the spark he felt investigating things. He said it wasn’t nostalgia — it was a wake-up call. He lives to uncover the truth and seek justice. He felt he’d gotten sidetracked, especially since he was shot. He wanted to figure out who shot him, but to do that, he needed access to the police investigation. He wanted her to bend the rules a little bit. She felt he did have a right to know, as the victim. But she wanted to be part of the investigation. He didn’t want her help, but she said they make a great team. He finally agreed.
Surprising Changes
Finn (Michael Easton) met with Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) at the Metro Court, but she stopped his enthusiasm and broke the news she couldn’t take his case. He asked why not. She said she got a call from the family suing him. She admitted that she is on retainer with the Muldoons and that they go way back. But she warned him not to trust the hospital’s lawyers. Gregory (Gregory Harrison) and his cane interrupted. Diane left, but Finn didn’t go into details about what happened and instead talked about Violet. Gregory asked him to open up, so Finn did. He was worried the lawsuit could be the end of his career. Finn thanked his father for his support.
Maxie (Kirsten Storms) called Cody (Josh Kelly) over to the Deception office to look at pictures from the shoot he did with Sasha (Sofia Mattsson). She pitched their next campaign as Sasha listened outside. He said he was out, which made Sasha look pained. She gave him the paycheck, which he was impressed by, but still no. Maxie then offered to double that check for a signing bonus. But he said it wasn’t the money — it was Sasha. He wanted her wishes respected, and he was out. Sasha finally stepped forward and said maybe not. She appreciated his honoring her wishes, but Sasha realized it was for the good of the company, so she supported it.
