According to General Hospital spoilers, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) hasn’t had much time to think about potential informants. He is currently under pressure to ensure that his lawyer, Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy), can bail him out of this. Sonny understands this is different, so she won’t need to explain it to him like she has every previous time.
The mob boss is known for being impatient with his demands, though. While being incarcerated is not an option, it appears that’s exactly where he’ll be spending the foreseeable future. Will some time spent on the inside enable him to learn who put him there?
Sonny Corinthos’s Circle Is Innocent
Many fans felt a knee-jerk reaction when Sonny was arrested. Was it Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) who put him in that position? Many questioned it, but Dex seems fairly authentic so far.
Still, others caught wind of his demeanor after Josslyn ‘Joss’ Jacks (Eden McCoy) told him earlier that night that she wished her mother had never destroyed that flash drive with the Pikeman footage on it.
Dex’s face seemed to say it all and imply that maybe there was a copy or all wasn’t as lost as Joss thought it was. Still, as Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) attempts to unearth clues to who turned Sonny in on the outside, he’ll be hard at work trying to figure out the same from on the inside.
Will his sniffing around lead him to the truth about Dex and his son, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell)?
Leak Pikeman Was A Front
Despite not being Pikeman, Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) made full use of Sonny’s enthusiasm to explore unexplored territory with the government military contractor.
To ensure Sonny was taken out, all he needed was the schedule for their shipments, but doesn’t it all sound a little too simple?
Was Sonny intentionally cruising for this to bring him back to the figure behind Pikeman and the Gatlins?
Is it possible that Valentin was never working against Sonny but for him, and that Sonny created Pikeman as a means of smoking out a rat he already knew was in his midst? If so, we can rest assured it wasn’t Sonny pretending to be Pikeman who turned on himself.
Was Cyrus Behind It All?
Sonny won’t spend time attempting to network on the inside and is likely to have a few confidantes, including Book (Brad Schmidt).
Cyrus has had an advantage against him there for a while because of his relationship with other prisoners who have stood in for Sonny throughout the years.
Dejected prisoners who were encouraged by Cyrus and found hope in his message that justice and a balancing of the scales of power were on the way will find themselves celebrating his fulfillment of his promises.
We can’t wait to see what happens if Sonny deliberately set all of these things in motion to annoy Cyrus.
