Spoilers for General Hospital hint Given that she has a new job and may have briefly had a new boyfriend, Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) has been absent from the scene for a few weeks.
Since Curtis was shot, she hasn’t even intervened to express her sympathies or show support. Fans may find it strange when she returns, but this time it’s for Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), not Curtis.
Will Jordan be able to protect Anna, or will her aim as Acting Mayor be to aid her friend in finding a sniper?
Anna Devane Is At Risk
After the Metro Court pool shooting, no one was really sure who the presumed target of that attack may have been.
It was clear that Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) was hit by a ricochet bullet, not directly — meaning he wasn’t the intended target, but who was?
Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is valid to be concerned that he could have been who the sniper was really after, given that another one targeted him a few months ago in a Port Charles warehouse.
But Anna also has reason to suspect someone is after her — specifically, someone from the WSB who wants to do her in.
Suggest Jordan Ashford Has Every Reason To Step In
As Laura Collins’ (Genie Francis) replacement as Acting Mayor, Jordan may not currently hold the position of Police Commissioner. She still has good reason to be concerned for the safety of many Port Charles residents after the incident. Anna is also her closest friend.
She doesn’t want to experience any more damage than Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) already has, to put it mildly.
In addition, Curtis was shot, apparently with Anna in mind, and left disabled. Jordan will make sure that the person who fired the gunshot and injured the love of her life is held accountable.
The WSB Comes Tumbling Down?
Jordan may have contacts at the WSB who could help her phish for the identity of the sniper at large. But she, Anna, and Sonny have all likely realized that no good hit man leaves their gun behind to be traced back to them.
Instead, it appears as though this person prefers to play cat and mouse. Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), who is also implicated in the mess, might not want Jordan involved because doing so could expose his cover with the PCPD.
