How will Carly Spencer and Drew Cain benefit?
Michael Corinthos finally knows that it was Nina who turned Carly and Drew into the SEC on General Hospital. That changes…absolutely nothing. Oh, sure, on the personal level, it might cause a few ripples. As soon as Michael goes running to Daddy with tattletales of how his new wife is a bad, bad lady — now throw some barware at her — there will be trouble for the Corinthos newlyweds. But how will it help Carly and, especially, Drew?
Michael Corinthos: I Told You So
In addition to causing trouble for Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Nina (Cynthia Watros), Michael’s (Chad Duell) discovery will also bolster Carly’s (Laura Wright) claims of victimhood. She will have even more reason to feel sorry for herself. Why, she might have gotten away with her crime…if it weren’t for that darn Nina!
General Hospital: Shifting the Blame
Finding out who turned you in does not absolve the criminals of committing the crime. The only way it could have benefited Carly or Drew (Cameron Mathison) would be if the person who turned them in also framed them — and they could prove it. But since Nina did not frame Carly and Drew, learning her name will not exonerate them. It’s a completely pointless gesture in the practical sense.
General Hospital: Shout Factory
Knowing that Nina was the one who provided the information that sent Drew to jail will not prevent Drew from going back to jail. It will not prevent him from getting beat up again, and it will not help him heal from his injuries any faster. It will allow Carly to yell at Nina, and to tell Sonny to yell at Nina, and to order Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) to yell at Nina, and to teach Wiley some new words he can use to yell at Nina. But it will not help Drew. Or Carly.
